So far, this product has performed as advertised. I have had it for a couple of weeks and have taken several photos using it. The lens hood attaches fairly securely but would be better if it threaded onto the lens/filter. It stays in place and putting the lens cap on can be done without any interference from the lens hood. I would reccommend this item if you can't find a NIKON brand. -- Addition to my camera

This lens hood replaced my original Nikon hood I bought for my D60. The Nikon and the aftermarket are the exact same quality. I lost my Nikon during a trip and decided that paying over twenty dollars for an original was too much especially since it should have been included with the camera lens. I am so glad I bought this one because it was about thirteen dollars cheaper yet does just as good as job. -- Great Hood
